I thought I was prepared for spring...

Hello Reader,

I really thought this was going to be the year I had it all together (hah!).

You know…
Make It March āœ”ļø
Pantry prepped āœ”ļø
Meals planned āœ”ļø
Garden plans ready āœ”ļø

I had this picture in my head that spring would feel calm. Organized. Maybe even a little peaceful.

And then… real life showed up.

The weather can’t decide what it’s doing (hello, Ohio).
My body is reminding me I did not stay in shape all winter.
The kids are… well, being kids.
My husband just got back after being gone for five weeks.
And the garden plans? They’re already shifting.

Even with all the prep… it still feels a little chaotic over here.

And honestly? I almost didn’t want to admit that.

Because it’s easy to feel like if we just planned better, prepped more, or did more ahead of time… things would feel easier.

But I’m realizing that’s not really how this works.

Prep helps. It really does.
We’re eating better. I’m not scrambling as much.
Having a plan each week is saving me.

But it didn’t magically turn spring into this slow, peaceful season.

Spring is just… full.

Full of energy.
Full of work.
Full of things not going according to plan.

And I think that’s actually part of it.

So in this week’s episode, I’m just talking honestly about:

  • what’s actually helping right now
  • what I’m letting go of this season
  • and what ā€œenoughā€ looks like for us

Because around here, things are not perfect.

Some plant starts might get tossed.
Some things aren’t getting made from scratch.
Some plans are getting simplified.

And that’s okay.

If your spring feels a little chaotic too… you’re not doing anything wrong.

You’re just in the season of it.

And if you want to share what spring looks like where you are, come hang out with us in the Facebook group—I’d love to see what you’ve got going on.

Talk soon,
